meanwhile farcaster has 100k users and a single app
what do you think about https://graphql.org?
wait, this is working as expected!
yes, I was being sarcastic. I think rust is great, a breakthrough in programming paradigms. the rust lovers are way too annoying though, they make me not want to ever touch it again.
this looks so beautiful in this white background
nostr is designed for broadcast, not unicast
in 2016 I watched this conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yth7O6yeZRE
it had all the projects trying to do anything "decentralized" on the internet, old and new. some of these are still alive today. there was almost no shitcoin talk. the speakers were no bitcoin enthusiasts at all, they were mostly young software enthusiast-types that only seemed to care about their small projects that aimed to route data from A to B in various ways and purposes.
at some point there was a panel with multiple of the speakers, and they were asked: "why do you think now we will succeed in making a decentralized internet, and not 10 or 15 years ago when many projects were also trying this and failed?"
the somewhat-unanimous answer was: "because now we have bitcoin, and the ability to transfer money in a decentralized manner was the missing element in the previous attempts"
if we had this same event today 100% of the participants would be saying bitcoin is horrible. why?
no, no, I was just kidding!
no, too large. if humans cannot produce more than 30 events per hour.
that doesn't seem like addressing it, but fine, once you release the next version I'll fork it into panoraama and try to get my true vision working
if your app is in rust and the relay is not in rust, then the relay is wrong.
ahahah shiba inu
but thinking more about it, I think nostr could make tags great again, specially when combined to nostric other antispam and quality-filtering measures.
besides that, nostr doesn't have native full-text search, so the tags may play a much bigger role here.
it remains to be seen.
got it, I didn't know #tagname already worked.
to be fair I think these tags thing is kind of a failed initiative. twitter for example doesn't treat the tags differently from any words, you can search for words, tags, it's all the same. the only difference is that you can click.
also the fact that anyone can add any tag they want makes it so it is impossible to filter for content using tags since that will be polluted by random or spam stuff anyway.
it is nice to watch https://alphaama.com/ rerender and reorganize the events in hierarchies as they are received from the relays, but I think it should use some debouncing to speedup this process and make it less glitchy for those who want to quick post something
you're going to do some fancy scoring?
that was a funny one, but at the same time it is weird that bitcoiners keep bashing this BSV thing which is obviously clownish since a long time ago -- I want to see more bashing of Monero.
no, music only brings me pain
that is an option too, I agree
hola!
