I've done so much Hungarian today. Nagyon magyar. My brain feels like it's leaking out of my ears.

Every 4th, as you can imagine, the blacktop is ground zero for fireworks in the neighborhood. They’re illegal here, but that doesn’t stop anybody and the cops never do a thing about it. Even if you call it in they just don’t show up. Most years I try to be a good sport because who wants to be a narc.

You guys, the most amazing thing has happened. Okay first you need to understand that I live across the street from a city park. And not just a park, city block expanse of park spaces. A playground, a basketball court, handball courts, and a vast blacktop that can and does house softball games. It’s big and wide open.
