I guess I'm one of those #vtubers. Having fun talking about general topics, vrchat/similar, and games. Also #indiedev #gamedev. You can call me: Freak فْرِيكٌ フリク (still learning Nihongo). #envtuber #podcast #gaming #gamedev

Well hello there! High-five on making your first post here. I'm a fan / thanks for making (and continuing to maintain) your software =3

To the lessons that were relevant to me:

Section 4 videos: Great!

Section 8 videos: Quality went down by half, but still managed to follow what's going on.

Notes/thoughts/opintions:

- Section 8 should have been at section 5 to follow with section 4.

- Initial project should have been continued and finished (by doing a quick list of kind 1 posts with basic html/css), then go into the new project (reddit clone).

How confident am I to develop what I want after checking those lessons?

I'd say... 50-60% confident.

So I'm assuming you've posted that message using Snort, Primal, Damus, Amethyst, Plebstr, or something similar. All of these are similar to Twitter ish.

Think of community posts like Reddit posts. Check out https://nostr.kiwi or https://zapddit.com . Amethyst also has a community section.

Oh? Does community posts not show as a normal post on timelines anymore? If yes, nice =3

The simpler the explanation the better, and that's as simple as it gets I think.

"Oh, so people send me dollars for my posts?"

-"Not dollars. People send you a different currency called Bitcoin. You can exchange it for dollars later like any other currency."

"Ah, ok."

🤙Introducing the NostrDev course.

In just under 8 hours, we'll guide you from being a novice to becoming a proficient Nostr developer, enabling you to create resilient, censorship-resistant decentralized networks.

🤙 Who is this course for?

• Anyone wants to start learning how to code on Nostr

• Anyone who is trying to learn to code

• Those looking to develop on freedom tech

• Digital privacy enthusiasts looking to expand their knowledge

• Anyone wants to build a Nostr Reddit

https://www.pleblab.com/nostrdevs

Got it. Hopefully I'll be able to build what I want, if not, oh well, I would have just understood how things work more on #nostr =3

Honestly?:

People sometimes send money to you for your posts, and you can do the same.

Bitcoin, yes.

Nostr, yes.

Both of which I'm recomending my friends and family.

Simplex... Not sure yet. I want more people talking about it, and videos about it, and some with nostr as well, to see what's up with it. There's also Keet, what's up with that on comparison.

Oh, that's great then =3

Ah, I now know what the issue was. It was a massive UX issue on nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm 's part. What I thought was my ln address in their account setting under "name" was just literally a name and not my LN address. Fixed, everything should work now.

I think I missed on a bunch of Zaps. If anyone uses Getalby LN addresses and have or want to change your address, know that there are two separate account setting pages, and only one of them has the field to allow you to change your LN address name.

Appreciate it! Hopefully I can work/build on nostr full time =3

Hm? It's a getalby LN address, just got zapped by someone a few minutes ago x3

Yeah since I'm assuming this is a normal browser, but with a focus on nostr, and considering what you've shown, those are just normal bookmarks, but presented in a way to make em look like apps.

Also, this just came to mind: if a "nostr browser" becomes a thing, I'd imagine there should be a new NIP (or NIPs) that enhances the nostr browsing experience, like private bookmarks (transferable from browser to browser seamlessly) for example.

It would be fantastic if nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct would have Pheonix LN wallet on there. I don't need to think about in/outBound. I just pay the small fee and everything is working and it's self custody.

Our side project is maturing to a major project, let's call it Nostr Browser for now.

Wanna Zap anywhere on the web?

https://void.cat/PjHX745sEhFvTYnvGymgWZ

It's a short demo of what this thing could do. Imagine a browser with Nostr and LN deeply integrated, but more secure, private and with UX much smoother than what you could have with a browser extension. That's where we're heading.

We're very early, so your feedback can really influence our roadmap. What should we try next?

Looking forward to checking it out once it's out =3

Also had fun imagining a quick design for it based on the video shown:

You'd tap the site icon at the top left to zoom out the page to the tabs and quick bookmarks view. Wanted to use as little space as possible. Taping your profile pic would lead to you managing your accounts / other npubs and indicates which is the main account being used.

You can even say "learn to code" and won't get banned x3

Thought I'd share this latest design of my app before pausing it. One thing I'd like to highlight is one of its main features I'd like to currently called the "Switcher", which allows you to switch between different interfaces seamlessly that are designed for different purposes:

- Twitter (quick posting) like

- Reddit (community posting) like

- Twitch (live-streaming) like

- Medium (blogging) like

- Spotify (music/podcast) like

- etc

Here's a video demo:

Think like what

nostr:npub1cmmswlckn82se7f2jeftl6ll4szlc6zzh8hrjyyfm9vm3t2afr7svqlr6f made, but instead of visiting different websites, it's all in one app/client with its own tinkering. (Although this UI interface can definitely be applied to checking out sites like he has made of course).

Have to pause designing my #nostr app for some time, at least this one, because just entered survival mode and need to split my time between finding a new job and attempting to #learntocode and make a service on nostr (will start streaming that tomorrow)

A pleasure! Looking forward to see those being added to 0xChat if they get added. Would make the experience nicer =3
