Today marks the day I'm back to reality to work and that my holiday has ended.
In the past 5weeks we did a roadtrip through the Southern states of the US. In that time we covered 5.000miles and visited Austin, Hot Springs Arkansas, Memphis, Nashville, Smoky Mountains, Gainsville, Cortez, Mobile and New Orleans.
As someone from Europe it's always very interesting visting the US. We consume a whole lot of American content on a daily base which subconsciously you form an idea on how it will be, fortunately it's very different while being there. We may look the same but culturally we couldn't be more different.
Besides the amazing nature the thing I'll remember most are the awesome conversations we had with people we met.
Those conversations were with blue -collar people who I can only say live a tough and harsh life but with true grit they've build a life.
I have the greatest respect for that and for me that embodies the American spirit which makes it a great country!
Nontheless there are quite some issues which unfortunately divides the country culturally but I'm convinced that the people and that spirit can overcome this and hopefully #bitcoin and #nostr can work as a catalyst.
Still gathering my thoughts and experiences of this trip but can't wait for the next roadtrip
