When someone proclaims to be God by saying "We ARE science, and we need to force our view on everyone," you know they're lying, because that is quite simply the antithesis of the scientific method, and yet that’s exactly what the government does day in and day out, and the majority of the population buys the lies.
Statism, in all forms from minarchy to liberal democracy to corporatocratic empire to pure fascism or national socialism, subsists 100% on deception. The lie that you need your masters. The lie that anyone owns the truth. The lie that man can be an authority over any other man. It is the lie a slavemaster tells his slave, hoping to keep his slave docile, though the slave is not really his. He is merely a bully, of the gravest kind. Reason solves this. We can see clear as day that the slave does not need permission to leave captivity, a permission that the bully would never recognize anyway. If the slave recognizes it and has the power to leave, he may leave. All the better if a few fellow private citizens, say abolitionists, also recognize this right, and give him the weapons and resources needed to escape and stay away.
To any state agent looking at this, you are not my master, even if you pretend you are. And you can choose what you do with your life, you don't need to follow other people's rules. What do you actually want? What can you do to bring it about? Is it really control? If you're honest about stuff, things work better for you. And if you want justice and security, the state is probably not where you'll produce it.
