I personally don't have an opinion on it one way or the other from a utilitarian standpoint. This might turn out to be an unexpected good thing and be relatively insignificant to each of us as individual people using Bitcoin as money. Especially because people using this still have to pay competitive rates (currently 5 times as much) per byte of data for the mining company to make a larger profit off of doing it than for them to mine pleb transactions.

The unfortunate thing about this is that much of this "innovation" ostensibly is being used to scam people, and it does slightly slightly drive up tansaction fees as a result of reduced supply for plebs. MARA is enabling extreme glutony for block space, but it is still unable to push all that far, and it and its cronies still bear a cost for that.

Ok so it is all 4 MB, no more. I thought I saw something about going beyond limits, but that's within limits. What the heck did they pack it with? Dickbutts? Junk data? Some weird payments scheme?

Wut

I second this wut. Wut?

I really want some Wonka candy right now.

Federal bill proposes to force large companies to be more like nostr... except itself.

I disagree with the takes being presented here, on virtually all counts lol! It's a difficult subject. I think the existence of government itself as an untouchable entity really makes this whole concept mute.

This is only going to hurt consumers of concert tickets, like me, because they are increasing the coat of doing business of an efficient company that charges, in my experience, very reasonable prices.

Another BS size=power argument. The "Justice Department" is fucking stupid.
