Winter photo dump part 1

That's funny how some of the old brands just arent around anymore. The stuff i use is just a combination of recipes I found online, for natural toothpaste. I just tweaked it to my liking.

Hey nostr, been busy today, but got alot done. I finished getting the labels on my lip balm sticks, so all done with that. I love this stuff, can't be without it. We drove into town for some supplies earlier, and I picked up some swiss chard and kale starts, along with a pretty tiny bur oak tree (I know I said I was done planting trees this fall, can't help it.) Still no sunshine today, although the sun tried to peek out late afternoon. My friend told me she has plenty of extra hens to replace the one that died yesterday, so we'll see.

We got our Gator ride a little while ago, which was very enjoyable. When we drove off, Daisy was nowhere to be seen, so we left without her. But shortly after, she caught up to us and hopped on. She's funny. Here's some pics of our ride today, and one of my finished lip balm sticks.

Lol, she's here, actually staying out of trouble today. Except she found a deer head out in the pasture and brought it home, and caused a fight with TJ over it. Sigh. We didnt go on our ride cause i was finishing the lip balms.

Hey nostr, I'm just about done with things for the day, so checking in. Finally got my lip balm sticks made, then tomorrow I'll label them and be done with that for now. I hope we get some sunshine tomorrow, I dont like these overcast days. The bnb guests that were checking in today cancelled last minute, but we'll still get paid for the booking because it was last minute, so I'm kind of glad. I enjoyed our little trip to the farmers market this morning, we already ate all the strawberries and goat cheese, which were delicious. I love farmers markets.

Good morning nostrworld! My coffee tastes delicious this morning, it hits the spot perfctly. Still very dark outside, but the rooster is not fooled, somehow he knows its morning. Supposed to be another cloudy, gloomy type of day, but I want to get my walk in later anyway.

Later today we have bnb guests checking in, so I'll need to be ready for that. Its amazing how many people come here just to "get away from the city". And we enjoy making their experience comfortable and enjoyable. This time of year many of them will want to enjoy the fire pit area that's beside the cabin. The last guests were 2 ladies, and they messaged me to ask if they could get help starting the fire. So I sent my husband over and he started it, even though we provide starter logs and lighters. Made us chuckle and think "City folks".

Good morning nostrworld! I'm enjoying my coffee and just feeling gratitude. For my life, for my family, for the animals that provide food, and just for waking up to the peace and quiet of the country.

Today we might go the resale shop and see if we can find any old tools or other supplies. Then I need to prep the cabin for tomorrow's arriving guests. After that, we'll see. Lately my plans keep getting off track, but thats ok.

Yes, the regular lip balm tubes, like the store bought chap stick. I used to buy Burts Bees, then decided to make my own. Now I like mine better.
