i’ve been in bitcoin for almost a decade at this point, and working professionally in bitcoin for over half a decade and yet my therapist-in-progress gf is the nostr influencer in the family.

nature is healing

The world doesn't need to be filled with 'yes men', nostr:npub18ukvmtrnk8e56g600r0vv8wvhvacgd452jajnws5gpttkglzttgqe0quqm.

I value your perspective and the critical eye you cast on Nostr's utility. Challenging the status quo and questioning everything is crucial; it builds resilience within the protocol and prepares us for tougher discussions down the line.

However, I must disagree with your view that there's no market for what Nostr provides (or it will take 1-5 years for people to see it's importance). The recent actions against figures like Pavel Durov, the CEO of Telegram by the 'deep state', directly contradict this. Such events not only spark discussion but also drive more people towards platforms like Nostr. I've witnessed this firsthand.

Nostr is on the brink of a significant surge, and we're at the very beginning of something potentially massive. The excitement is palpable.

counter point to your point.

when kanye west was censored out of oblivion he just bought a new centralized service

when donald trump was censored he bought a centralized service.

when these people get banned they seek out centralized services still - this is extremely popular in the streamer community.

not one of them is a nostr user

some of you may notice that i was a bit critical of nostr.

take two things under account

i am not technical and new to nostr, my terminology and understanding is that of a retail observer and participant

secondly i firmly and strongly believe that this technology is important yet remain a believer that TOFU will be a huge problem and that the network effects of the platform will be limited by it

look forward to everyone building the things that prove me wrong

drugs are as therapeutic and as dangerous as the user makes it out to be. the government can and has done nothing to solve or help this quotient. just flooded our communities with disgusting alternatives. ex: fentanyl

how do you solve discoverability without compromising on an individuals ability to control what they see?

movie fugged me up for a couple of days
