writing, learning, creating

Maybe the real war is who gets your attention.

It took me quite some time to fall asleep again last night, but I learned to embrace moments like this; like I mentioned before, this is one of the problem-solving hacks, so I started to figure out one of my to-dos: finding a leather craftsman to make a hand-carry big bag for short trips and when in the plane, mainly for my laptop and notebooks and other important things.

I already have the design in my mind, with small details, e.g. how to better organize books and things, because it's so easy to damage the paper if you put it along with other stuff, why not just make a spot for it? So easy yet barely anyone make it, so all I lack is someone skilled to make it happen.

I don't know if it's just me, but after I went down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, I don't like buying already-made things anymore because I want my Bitcoin well spent - something practical, beautiful and can last for years; And I realized that making things with the best people I can find is the way to go, not only I can do quality control but I can also get to see and learn how things are being made from scratch:)

If you have all the time for yourself, what skill would you like to focus on learning?

A day without learning or improving, it feels like I'm rotting or just existing.

what if:

- LN address would be like a "bank account", so people can easily send you money there.

- LN address would be like a public mail, so people can easily send you messages there, and at least is pay to spam.

what other fun I'm missing?

One fun way to learn physics: hanging around with mums, no big words, no boring stuff, but PRACTICAL.

e.g. salça making in progress, guess what the jar boiling part is for? 🤓

Did anyone ever hear about the Kabyle? I was talking with an Algerian girl last night; she mentioned these people still maintain their original way of living: natural, organic, and low-tech.!

I am doing my homework atm, I think old places still have many "secrets" because they are still well connected to the past, yet the more we live in modern societies, the more we are being kept away from the past.

Everything is artificial, robotic and distant these days, yet they called it advancement, madness.

It's so interesting that things and knowledge used to be spread by conquests, quite cool in a sense; you could get a rough understanding of what happened somewhere simply by looking at the architect of old buildings, the mix of food, how foreign words got to blend in with the local languages, even the way of living, etc.

The same logic works for now, you look around and can understand how many places are conquered by the fiat standard 😳

Learned from my summer clothes-making mistakes, always making things in advance instead of in that season.! Now, I'm exploring a bit to find good quality wool and cashmere to make winter clothes, but it takes so much work to source good fabric, and lots of learning at the same time.

Fun fact: there are only three main natural fabrics to make clothes: cotton, silk and wool. Once you find the good sources and have 1-2 skilled tailors with all your measurements ( never depend on one ), then you are pretty much free to make whatever you want, even if you are on the other side of the world, like a decentralized cloth making ✨

I learned something interesting this morning: it's Prophet Muhammad's birthday and mine too; what a nice coincidence, but I knew that people use the Isalm calendar to determine the date of Muhammad's birthday, while mine uses the modern Gregorian date.

Basically, what I am trying to say is that we have different calendars in different cultures, and then you would end up having different birthdays. so which one is the right one, or what if none is correct? E.g. my mum wished me happy birthday the other day, but friends think it's today, but at the end of the day, it's just another day in my life - did I age one year during this day? Absolutely Not.

I remember reading from a book that our real age is not determined by outside factors, not even time; Time is only a measurement, not the ageing factor. So part of me felt like birthdays are only calculating the physical time, making it easier for others to "know" you, but that's superficial.

Here are my not-so-crazy morning thoughts, thanks for reading.

People are talking about the iPhone 15, and I'm trying to find a Pocket watch to replace my phones.

We are not the same 😂

I don‘t think we should separate things between personal and work, public and private is better.

Just received this bag from the lady whom I have been making clothes with, isn't this gorgeous?

There aren't weekends or weekdays, only high-energy and low-energy days, and every day is a learning day.

One of the most delicious breakfast dishes you can make or as a salad: mixing tomatoes, cucumbers, thymes and olive oil.

So EASY and healthy ✨

When I was younger, I used to think the West could offer a better quality of life or even more freedom, but then it turned out it was only marketing.

Always verify things yourself - I now prefer living in places with less modernization, everything is more REAL.
