“自由意味着有权进行任何行为,只要它是和平的。只要一个人没有通过暴力或欺诈侵犯他人的权利,自由的原则就赋予他在生活中做出任何选择的权利,无论这些选择有多么不负责任、危险或不健康。”
“一个社会,在这个社会中政府因为被认为是自我毁灭、不负责任或不健康的行为而惩罚人们,不能真正被认为是一个自由的社会。”

Many self-proclaimed liberals worship Abraham Lincoln almost to the point of blindness, and whenever the greatest presidents in U.S. history are discussed, Lincoln always tops the list. But this adoration completely ignores Lincoln's true deeds as a dictator. Here are some little known facts about Lincoln:
1. Lincoln was a staunch advocate of high tariffs. He not only supported, but had promised to use force if necessary to collect tariffs and taxes. After coming to power, he raised tariffs to as high as 50%, a greedy tariff policy that led directly to the North-South divide and was the direct trigger for the outbreak of the Civil War.
2. gross violations of private rights during his tenure. Under his rule, the Bill of Rights was a nullity, the property of political opponents was searched, censored, and confiscated, more than 10,000 Northerners were arrested for opposing the war, and he even suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
3. the confrontation with the Supreme Court was an even more blatant disregard for the Constitution. When the Supreme Court ruled that his suspension of the Writ of Habeas Corpus was unconstitutional, Lincoln not only refused to comply, but even attempted to arrest the judges involved.
4. Lincoln's regime went out of its way to arrest members of Congress who opposed him or his war policies. He had imprisoned the entire Maryland legislature to prevent them from voting against him. During the election, his troops even surrounded polling stations and manipulated the results by intimidating voters and stuffing ballot boxes.
5. publicly declared himself a white supremacist on several occasions, proudly claiming, "In view of the inability of the white and negro races to coexist peacefully, and the existence of superiority and inferiority being inevitable while they continue to coexist, I am as much in favor of conferring superiority upon the white race as any other man."
6. Lincoln's greatest crime was triggering the Civil War, which resulted in the deaths of 750,000 soldiers and the maiming of 400,000, as well as the breaking up of countless families and the displacement of people.

I've never been more optimistic.
I see the orange light breaking through the darkness
I see more and more people choosing freedom
