I was talking exactly about that! Would be amazing to create it with an extendable vision, so you can choose framework at the beginning, usin a cli setup wizard

I got board again and found myself poking around the source code for the old nostr signing device extension https://github.com/lnbits/horse
Turns out the code to talk over serial to the device itself was only 160 lines, so I copied it to noStrudel and with some fixes for typescript it pretty much just worked.
I tested it with an ESP32 I laying around and it works pretty well. although sometime the device will randomly disconnect ( not sure if its an issue with the device or linux )
Anyways for the few people who built a signing device and who use google chrome. you can now sign into #noStrudel with it

I was playing with it too, and had those kind of glitches, i think that maybe the problem is in the esp32 code
Yes, indeed its not difficult to implement using a local cache/db
