Best combo for staying dry through a rainy night. Dry and wind protected roofing and a hammock to keep you off the ground 👌🏻

Sure enough, the trail turns in to a stream.

Heavy skies after all that heat, woke up to thunder and lightning.

Sudden heat wave came with 34 + C. A reminder that I want to make it to stage 2 mountains before july. Water sources becomes scarce.

Cities are for resupplying. I find sardines to be the best energy to weight food. I do not carry a cooker, so eating cold while on the trail.

Spent mid day in the shade of Ribeauville

I’m very happy that I brought a hammock, primarily I figured I use it for resting during the day, however I find myself sleeping in it very comfortable, so it’s now my first option for night setup. The sunset relax is top !

Even if your night’s shelter is uncertain and your goal still far away know that there doesn’t exist a road without an end - don’t be sad

Magnificent 13th century citadel country. Situated on beautiful remote locations, always on a hill top and with stunning views. Very peaceful atmosphere and beautiful stone work. All destroyed by centralised forces in the late 16th century with new technology, the cannon.

Shelters and a wood stove just when you need it.

Got to try out all my gear within 24 h. A sub 10 degree night and rain, wet and cold. A good start, it kills off any illusions. One day at a time.
