New showroom display is starting to come together 
I have found it helpful to do intense time tracking on my work activities for about 2 weeks and about twice per year.
It helps me realize what I haven’t been putting enough time into, what is taking too much time, what my most valuable activities are, and how valuable my activities are. When I look back at the data at the end of the 2 weeks, I can make a plan to gain more leverage on my time.
For business owners, this can be especially valuable with your employees to gain insights for training purposes. It can also sometimes reveal pricing issues with your services.
A valuable member of society puts in the work to learn how to do things right, doesn’t feel like they’re owed anything, feels like they must earn everything.
Pros and Cons of putting your marketing efforts toward direct response advertising vs building and nurturing your referral network
Direct Response Pros: can target a single customer avatar and focus your product development around that specific avatar, could improve brand recognition, potentially quick returns
Direct Response Cons: expensive, diminishing returns, could be tough to differentiate from competitors in a quick ad
Referral Network Pros: generates re-occurring revenue, can be easier to come up with unique ideas to add value to your referral partners, inexpensive, easy-to-find audience
Referral Network Cons: time-intensive, there will likely be multiple types of customers to cater towards
If losing a single sale is highly upsetting, it probably means your lead flow is a serious issue.
Someday soon I’ll have somebody to take care of my business taxes and legal documents for me. For today, I sucked it up and gave my time for the bureaucracies.

Example - kitchen remodeling (maybe 3 jobs lifetime per customer)
Offer to give free remodeling advice to realtors and their clients, in return they refer you several jobs per year.
It’s a tough gig making sure your customers and trade partners recognize your efforts. It would be nice if we could stay humble and quietly be a badass.

I think it’s more likely that sunscreen causes skin cancer than sun exposure causing skin cancer.
Whenever I notice myself getting worked up about clown world stuff, I remind myself to view life as a comedy rather than as a tragedy. A simple reframe makes all the difference.
