the best part of this is everyone can get rid of trashy laser eyes picks finally 🙃
The true multi-device support isn't really there yet...

Yip, Botswana just had their ruling party of 50 years lose drastically in this year's election, but still a peaceful transition of power is taking place. In South Africa, the ruling party since the start of a democratic South Africa, failed to secure a majority and instead formed a government of national unity with opposition. Also entirely peaceful. Japan (effectively) and UK also had their governments flipped.
Lot's going on and not a general shift to left or right, just a shift to "the opposition".
Anyone feel like being nerdsniped and getting Whale on nixpkgs?

After each US election I like to the other half that this option still exists :-)

We also accept refugees down in South Africa 🇿🇦 :)
Also I'm pretty sure they just backronymed from DAFT. That couldn't have been a happy coincidence 🤣
And this system is also not perfect. In fact it’s impossible to have a perfect electoral system. But some are inherently more fair and better than others.
It’s a philosophical thing. I don’t think there is a “correct” answer for any one country as the makeup of people differs accordingly. Some are pretty homogenous societies, so direct democracies where each vote is counted equally, with no “first past the post” system, works for them.
I must say that electors in each state should at least somewhat proportionally vote according to the state’s result. All republicans in California could have effectively not voted. Same as democrats in Texas. It’s as if their votes are worthless.
Then you still have “rural” votes worth more than “city” votes, but you don’t have wasted votes.
Today is Rust upskill and tech talk research/prep day! 🦀🇰🇪
And yes, it’s about time the JFK files are released. Anything related to “national security” as an excuse is just plain stupid at this point.
Republicans will have serious work to do if a direct democracy were to be the status quo in America. The electoral college is their saving grace.

What’s up with all the Matrix spam? Gosh.
It’s funny because .ai is for Anguilla, another British overseas territory, but at least is way more established than The British Indian Ovean Territory was in terms of an actual population. Most inhabitants from the Chagos Archipelago didn’t live there anymore.
The same warning was given for users of .me and .ai. Territories and countries have full sovereign right to make rules for their ccTLDs. And ICANN removes them when the territory ceases to exist as was the case for Yugoslavia.
At least Serbia is very happy and supports the use of .rs for Rust projects. Their regulator issued a statement about it.
Two letter global generic TLDs are explicitly against the rules of ICANN
You don’t have time to finish bad books. You absolute can and should abandon a bad book and log it as such for review 🙂
