Star Wars: Convergence—full disclosure, this book took me a year to finish and completely derailed my High Republic journey.
Somewhere along the way, we end up in a Romeo and Juliet-style Star Wars story, but the execution falls flat. The core of the book revolves around two warring families brought together through what I guess was their best idea at the time.
Meanwhile, the Jedi storyline focuses more on the Pathfinder class rather than the larger conflicts of the era.
The pacing is all over the place, the political intrigue lacks any real intrigue, and the story just drags. That said, there is a stretch—maybe two hours out of the 13+ hour listen—where things finally come together.
The events of the book might prove important down the line, but in my opinion, even if you're making your way through the High Republic era, this one is safe to skip. 2/5. #starwars #bookreview

Nothing like a power outage to find time for some quality meditation.
Star date. March 1, 2025 I have encountered air fried spam. It’s amazing.

How in the world can a plastic gas can cost $20? 2 gallons
There’s plastic everywhere I could’ve brought my own plastic. I have plastic here.
Now that I think about it, why are we even paying money for plastic. Crap is super toxic and terrible in every way shape and form and it’s everywhere.
And no you’re charging me $20 for a gas can.
You do not train for ease, you train for mastery. Stay the course, make adjustments where needed, and do not let your emotions deceive you into thinking nothing is happening simply because results are not yet visible. Growth is often silent until it is undeniable.

The divide between the ways of the Force as practiced by the Sith and the Jedi has less to do with the distinction between darkness or the presence of light than between—in your case—naked cold and the presence of warmth. Between distress and comfort, entropy and predictability.

Gotta keep the signal strong. Don’t let the noise distract from the real path.
