For those reading my posts, a likely response is, “This is a bitcoin sphere, what does this have to do with bitcoin?”
Regarding my posts as of late (still learning bitcoin and NOSTR etiquette), from my perspective and intent, everything,
Very good question. By reasoned choice, both short-view and long-view. I suspect Marty is pretty good at this and his answer demonstrates this (though he must be a VERY fast reader!). Until now I have often said “I love reading.” Thanks for the knock on my head. I don’t love reading “I love learning” things that add value to my experience.
Thanks again.
Everyone is conflicted at sometime or oft times when facing a choice, your choice is a reflection of who you really are.
The Road Not Taken
BY ROBERT FROST
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. nostr:note14vhmcq7ftypt57440ara5dmx850mzetuuspaagfzyp9zu6md7n9sfydpqy
Keep forgetting how old I am:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senator,_you're_no_Jack_Kennedy
Well I learned a bit about Jack Dorsey last night via interview videos and you (Bitcoiners) should too.
Props, and I am definitely NOT an altruist.
Learned more than enough about Michael Saylor this morning. Don’t get me wrong, Saylor’s been good FOR Bitcoin, but Bitcoin has been better TO him.
Based on what I’ve found, would you even want Saylor to contribute to OpenSats? For one thing:
9. Growing up, Saylor played Dungeons and Dragons, and always insisted on being the Dungeon Master because he "liked to create and control situations."
What Saylor does with $30M:
10. He owns a yacht named USHER — after a computer software, not the singer. (Check out link at end)
More:
12. MicroStrategy is a business intelligence company that uses computer software to collect and sell consumer insight to customers.
13. In many ways, MicroStrategy is the forebearer of targeted ads as we know them today.
16. In 2000, MicroStrategy was accused by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for fraudulent finance reports. The claims were eventually settled, with Saylor himself paying $8.3 million of his personal money.
17. Following the accusations, MicroStrategy's stock plunged $6 million.
27. In addition to investing MicroStrategy's money into Bitcoin, Saylor himself (as of October,) held close to 18,000 Bitcoin.

IMO, who the fuck is Saylor to question motive?

GMN!
I began reading Mises' "Nation, State, and Economy" this morning. A great Memorial Day Weekend read so far.
Download a free version courtesy of The Mises Institute.

Yes, one of his “shorts.” Next time you have a week, try “Human Action,” for long pants. 🙃
You are absolutely spot on. Forgot about the following.
Bought a house in 2007 from owner that had only owned for three yrs and was transferred back to France. Homeowner left a loose leaf binder listing every upgrade, appliance, contractors names and color cards from paint supply, for painting inside and out!
The world works so much better when we are thoughtful and considerate with each other.
YES. I’ll take humility, integrity, honesty, consistency, dogged determination and willingness to admit mistakes over a person making a good investment decision any time, every time.
I’m wondering if this is simply a good investment for Saylor rather than a real commitment to the Bitcoin sphere.
Would we be hearing so much Saylor if it hadn’t turned out well? You’ve heard and will continue to hear ODELL. I’m with MATT and will ride Bitcoin to zero.
P.S. He growing more arrogant with time. Fuck Saylor.
P.P.S. GOOD MORNING NOSTR! 😎🍒
Correction, it’s MicroStrategy.
Seems to me ODELL has been at this longer than Saylor and ODELL has been as consistent in his message as the day is long. Let’s not forget, the principle is “PROOF OF WORK,” not “PROOF OF STAKE.” I’ll take humility, integrity, honesty, consistency and willingness to admit mistakes over making a good investment decision any time, every time.

P.S. Fuck Saylor stands. nostr:note1htjflzjxs6ks5az8ujper99y9vsguxcx20kq9zvyumfykpetq3fsw9tpaz
Question: It’s MicroStrategies that has been acquiring Bitcoin correct? Investors buy shares in MicroStrategies, MicroStrategies owns the corn.
It seems to me not too far removed from buying into ETF.
Is my thinking correct?
P.S. Fuck Saylor. nostr:note1fe3wp56n42hjlkrd9qte423u4m7v4nrdjmajy5ct45tdfuafwpxsu2ykux
Bitcoiners, I served with Jack... I knew Jack... Jack was a friend of mine. Bitcoiners, you're no Jack…
We are not Jack… but we can follow his example. Pick your degree of separation, I just did.
$21,000,000 (the bar)
$2,100,000 one degree
$210,000 two degrees
$21,000 three degrees
$2,100 four degrees
$210 five degrees
$21 the sixth degree
Keeping corn, sending fiat, reducing taxes,

I’ll get serious (briefly) so I don’t lose any more followers. 😂 Or irritate Jack, whom I’ve never even SEEN in person, while some here have or even know him.
I believe what Jack did is one of the, or possibly THE most significant act by anyone, to my knowledge in recent Bitcoin history. More significant than Saylor’s massive stockpiling and more important than Blackrock’s entry. What Jack did is MANY things:
-first, it’s a major personal donation,
-it’s major support for those who work or will be working (for your benefit!),
-it’s a significant investment in the future for countless beneficiaries,
-more importantly, it’s a huge vote of confidence, or rather two votes,
-a vote of confidence in the Bitcoin sphere, AND,
-a vote of confidence in OpenSats by a majorly credible person.
Most important, it’s an EXAMPLE we all can/should follow.
You likely at least know OF Jack as do I, but honestly I don’t know enough about him, but soon will.
(Yawn), nice words, we know, good for you, so what?
I’m not done…
…so while I think/write, at least learn about OpenSats and how they work.
Trust no one with your assets, self-custody because shit happens.
They’ll NEVER stop, until THEY are stopped. Bitcoin fixes this.
