Second real frost of the season and this morning I spotted my newly arriving mating pair (dispatched annually) of pond destroying muskrats crossing my pond. Normally they are VERY easily spooked and vanish, so odds of me getting back to the house, grabbing my Volquartsen .22WMR and getting a shot are slim to none.
TODAY, not only did I get that chance but they provided TWO swimming shots @75 yds. Now, as amazing as this was, it gets WAY better.
Thinking to myself, “I wonder if I could get my water-loving Black GSD to retrieve them? (Video is from weeks ago play) She’s just a puppy and generally, when outdoors, isn’t overly interested in what I’m doing so I had to help—a little. I picked up a pine cone, got her attention and tossed it in the direction of the floating “marsh rabbit.” She launched after the cone and immediately picked up on the floater and swam it back to shore. It took a few minutes to trick her out of her prize, after which she spotted the other on her own and retrieved it too, for herself, keeping her distance from me this time (thinking I wasn’t watching her shove it into the muck and covering it with leaves!).
I couldn’t help but think of the small number of people in this country, some of whom are suffering the consequences of the hurricane in the south, even comprehend the kind of day I had today. I understand wallets (hot or cold) are needed to generate seed phrases and keys to move bitcoin. But are wallets necessary for static HODLing?
Is it possible to use a wallet to generate a seed phrase, transfer Bitcoin to that account, then after securing phrase, wipe the wallet and create a new seed phrase and allocate Bitcoin to it?
What are the advantages or disadvantages of diffusing reasonable amounts (larger that typical for daily use wallets) of Bitcoin over multiple, in a sense “accounts?”
Wouldn’t this improve security over “all in one account,” and provide granular transfer to “daily use” wallets or gifting?
