Was really having a hard time with NOSTR/Primal feeling like a very small safe sandbox where Bitcoiners just keep saying how great it is and how much they "LOVE" it! I actually was feeling a very inhibiting vibe to "Keep it Bitcoin, be nice, focus on the future not the past (or present for that matter!).
Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely batshit happy about Bitcoin and it's possibilities. BUT, the world is a clusterfuck right now and if this isn't the place to talk about it ... well, I better understand the ostrich mascot.

I too lived in a small town in Indiana, ~10,000. Had nearly everything needed to exist and the advantage of closer connections, which facilitate adoption, but lacked advanced healthcare services.

I was thinking the same thing these last couple days. Marty and Matt don’t want to leave their homes for a foreign country, nor do I. El Salvador or Panama may be fine if climate matters not to you, it does to me (along with countless other issues!).
My initial question became what city population minimum could reasonably provide the majority of services needed to exist? A hospital with major surgical/trauma capability being the baseline in my mind.

Every successful person has a moped story. Mine was living in a 450 sq ft studio apt for a few years following my divorce in 1995 and while building my business, upgrading to a 550 sq ft one bedroom for a few, then a 650 sq ft two bedroom for years before buying my first 1200 sq ft bungalow in 2007 @50 yrs old. I was a “homeless” business owner for twelve years!
It was worth it. Don’t worry about “The Joneses.” You can always look for them in your rear view mirror (or not!).
