The american people want populist politicians more than ever. American populism is far from the most progressive ideology but it is significantly more progressive than the average democrat politician, at least the ones in leadership roles.

I hate liberal rhetoric about Gavin Newsom as much as I hate him. He’s always been a snake oil salesman who only cares about 💰. The issue isn’t who he talks to or that he doesn't verbally attack them aggressively enough—it’s that he’s as fake as ethical capitalism & only out for cash.

I feel like a lot of people really hate capitalism without realizing it's capitalism that they hate so much. Like I often hear people complain about stuff and usually when I hear someone complain about something, I'm just thinking "this person is describing something capitalism is directly causing"

So the Democrats support a filibuster when they are in the majority and it ties their own hands. But they support a cloture (anti-filibuster) when it empowers the Republicans because they have the majority.
We really need to get a second party. This one party system doesn't work.
Ukraine lost the war yrs ago since its western allies didn't arm it fast or well. Now no go back—loss is irreversible. That land bridge of Ukrainian cities is Russia's permanently; undoing it will cost lives. I'm mad at the allies for not helping more & faster; wish Ukraine got all its land back.
