it isn't; 8.x is pushing kotlin :blobcatupsidedown:

nostr:npub1ysufjjd485tftr4wy2a83fqyqvtfq0yn820gl8vl6hcsdz8uv2hskx2jyl i dislike that they tended to just DEUS VULT shit upon the platform.
but they were one of the last groups offering stability and now nobody is doing that. afaik suse got rid of the non-rolling open distro, and now linux foundation is like lmao rolling kernel go burrrr.
if i had mone at this point i'd probably make some unholy abomination of plan 9 / a de-retarded CLR or something.

the hexes here i copied as reference for the battle mats i was talking about. i dunno what i would use elsewhere.
cultist simulator's card table is pretty effective. though i think going between a hex battlemap and the table would be a bit gouache
this is Songs of Conquest, but it's an example i was thinking of for the tabletop simulator.
namely reducing it from an isometric CRPG to having battle maps like this, where the characters become miniatures (so they're reasonable for a solo dev to make.)
will have to run the screenshots by some folk to see if they find this acceptable or i must do isometric :blobcatgoogly:
