US MILITARY CONTRACTORS ALREADY IN GAZA
US private military contractors were sent to Gaza a week ago "to ensure weapons are not transferred to northern Gaza" as Palestinians returned to their homes.
(Resistance fighters and their weapons manufacturing largely operate underground.)
US forces have already been operating in Israel and Gaza since at least Oct 2023, assisting Israel with massive weapons transfers, surveillance drones, military operations, and ballistic missile defense.

US AIRCRAFT CARRIER LEAVES RED SEA
After the Gaza ceasefire was implemented and Yemen Ansarallah fighters halted their attacks, the USS Harry S Truman aircraft carrier and its strike group has left the Red Sea for Europe.
This US strike group was responsible for bombing Yemen and Somalia, according to the US Navy, including under Biden and also Trump's recent bombing of Somalia, reminiscent of his first term.

MISSING PLANE OVER ALASKA
A Cessna 208B aircraft owned by Bering Air flying from Unalakleet to Nome carrying 10 people (9 passengers, 1 pilot) disappeared from radar at ~3:16 pm over the Norton Sound.
Nome Fire Department: The pilot told Anchorage Air Traffic Control that he intended to enter a holding pattern while waiting for the runway to be cleared. Search efforts are expanding as more details emerge.

ANOTHER JOURNALIST DETAINED
Journalist Richard Medhurst was detained again, this time by the Austrian police and intelligence services in Vienna.
Police and Intelligence raided his house, office, and took all of his devices, accusing Medhurst of being a member of Hamas and threatening him with 10 years in prison.
Medhurst was also arrested in London at Heathrow Airport in August under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 because of his reporting on Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. He was released without charges.

I find it intriguing that US congress members (both sides) don't have a problem with Trump's Gaza plan violating every international law but are only worried about American soldiers, which is a legitimate concern, but they make no mention of the illogical atrocity of Trump's plan.
US Israel already bombed Gaza to oblivion, killing off families with children and leveling their shops and homes... but Resistance fighters (which operate underground in the tunnels) only grew in number and acclaim.
Although US military campaigns "succeeded" in Libya and Syria, US/UK Israel failed in Lebanon and Yemen as well as Gaza and the West Bank, against impoverished fighters in sandals with homemade rockets - which is incredible - but Trump's plan is as implausible as it is unethical and illogical.
Ikr? These are wild times.
I publish both primary (my own investigations) and secondary news (with an emphasis on promoting independent journalists, although I'm not above appreciating mainstream networks.)
My sources are all over the board. I never know where I'm going to find info or a story lead. I'd also like to create a community on Nostr where people can contribute info to a news story, where we all work together to figure out the facts.
I'm in the US, where it can be a challenge to get info from news media censored by the US government (Russia and China, for example) but there are ways around that and another reason to create a Nostr news community!

Yea, their signer extension is working great for me. The Lightning connection, not so much. Is there another signer connection that works as well - preferably that doesn't require Chrome?
