You were probably right about it being a red herringโ€ฆ.

I just so badly want these people to get what they deserve.

I guess justice will never be served.

If youโ€™re a billionaire you can rape kids, traffic children, kill anyoneโ€ฆ doesnโ€™t matter

No consequences for the wealthy.

It just infuriates me!

That age old saying, "money talks!"

One of my favorite uses of LLM is to save hours of my time by getting the gist of a long video I'll never have the time to watch.

LLM output:

The video features a conversation between host Aubrey Marcus and cannabis expert Ryan Sprague, who discuss the "psychedelic" and psychological aspects of cannabis use. They focus on reframing how people view the effects of the plant, particularly negative ones like paranoia.

Here are the main points from the discussion:

* Paranoia is a Feature, Not a Bug

Sprague argues that the paranoia or anxiety often felt during cannabis use is actually a beneficial "feature" rather than a negative side effect. He suggests that these feelings reveal the user's internal state, ego, and hidden fears. Instead of fighting it, he recommends sitting through the discomfort (which he notes often passes in about 90 seconds to a few minutes) to break through to a "bliss state" [00:36], [03:42].

* "Tuning In" vs. "Tuning Out"

A distinction is made between using cannabis to "tune out" (numbing oneself to forget a bad day) versus "tuning in" (using the altered state to examine one's life). Sprague shares a personal anecdote about how early use helped him realize he was unhappy in his job and needed to take responsibility rather than just escaping the feeling [01:57].

* Cannabis as a "Gatekeeper"

Challenging the old "gateway drug" propaganda, Sprague describes cannabis as a "gatekeeper." He believes that if a user cannot handle the introspection or intensity of cannabis, it acts as a guardian, signaling that they may not be ready for deeper psychedelic experiences or that they need to look inward before proceeding [02:20].

* Active Participation and Integration

The speakers emphasize that cannabis is an "active technology" rather than a passive medicine like a painkiller. It requires the user to participate in the process. The goal is "integration"โ€”taking the temporary state of mind achieved with the plant and turning it into a permanent personality trait or perspective without needing the substance constantly [01:15], [10:26].

* Intimacy and Relationships

Sprague discusses how cannabis has functioned as a "teacher" in his own relationship, helping to facilitate deeper intimacy and communication with his partner over their eight years together [01:42:12].

* Discernment and Personal Responsibility

The video concludes with a strong disclaimer that cannabis is not for everyone. They stress the importance of discernment, noting that there are many ways to reach higher states of consciousness (such as meditation or breathwork) and that no single path is the "only" way. Users must be honest with themselves about whether they are using the plant to grow or simply to numb themselves

TV licensing sent me, yet again, a letter asking to contact them by 28 Nov. Their web site was down so had to phone. Now the fascists got my landline number. Said they will call back regards the experience, etc. Great, can then block them on my landline until next letter.

Sooner this tv licensing crap end the better.

### ๐Ÿงฌ **Memetic Theory**

Richard Dawkins (who coined โ€œmemeโ€ in *The Selfish Gene*, 1976) meant it as a โ€œunit of cultural transmissionโ€ โ€” like a gene, but for ideas.

Just as genes propagate through reproduction, memes propagate through communication.

From that lens, a viral meme is like a **self-replicating cultural organism**. It doesnโ€™t have magic powers, but it leverages human cognition and network structures to **instantiate new realities** through coordinated belief and behavior.

We believe in money, no false weights, incorruptible trust,

Freedom from the chains, no masters of dust.

Truth canโ€™t be broken, itโ€™s coded, unshaken,

Ledger like the Word โ€” eternal, un-fakinโ€™.

A shield for the honest, yeah, a trap for deceit,

Block after block, yo, the recordโ€™s complete.

Bitcoin standinโ€™ firm, canโ€™t bend, canโ€™t fall,

Hard money in the system, justice for all.

The Cleansing of the Modern Temple

And it came to pass that the people journeyed daily to the temple of commerce, where the priests of money sat behind high tables. Upon those tables lay coins that lost their weight, and notes that lost their worth, for the priests decreed the measure of value by their own hand.

The pilgrims brought their labor, their savings, their bread for their children. But before they could enter the marketplace of life, the money changers demanded their toll: interest for the poor, abundance for the rich. And the house that should have been for the good of all had become a den where the few grew fat.

Then a voice arose in the courts, saying: โ€œYou have turned the temple of human flourishing into a market of bondage. You bind men with chains of debt, you debase their earnings with false scales, you lay burdens you do not bear yourselves. My Fatherโ€™s house is not a mint for thieves, nor a treasury for kings alone.โ€

And lo, the tables shook. Some coins rolled into the dust, never to be gathered again. And among the people there spread a new kind of coin, not struck by kings nor weighed upon deceitful scales. It was written upon no parchment of decree, but upon a chain of truth that none could alter. Its number was fixed, its promise plain, its door open to all who would enter.

Some mocked, saying, โ€œWhat is this token? It has no master, no priest to bless it.โ€ Yet others heard, and their eyes were opened. They saw that the temple need not belong to the money changers, nor the scales to the counterfeiters. They saw that value could dwell with the people once more, free as the wind, incorruptible as fire.

And the word went out: The tables shall not stand forever. The cords are already woven. The house will be cleansed again.
