When I first started programming, it was on an Atari 400 with annoying membrane keyboard and cassette deck for saving and loading programs and it attached to a TV using one of these.

Maybe the raspberry pi with all kinds of wires coming out for Power, Ethernet, USB hard drive, and TV is the closest we've got to this in the modern era.

The principles behind bitcoin were not too different from that and when I heard about a 'coin' being rewarded to a friend of mine for allocating CPU time to a protocol I jumped on board and started mining on a 2005 Sony Viao laptop sometime in December of 2009.

How is that any different from what they were already doing? Today when the Fed actually 'prints money', most of it is digitally printed and some of it is printed or minted. Their cbdc 1.00 will still equal usd 1.00, so nothing will change there. If this is their plan it is dumb. Look at what they are doing not what they say. They are aping a product they can't compete with. I'm not worried.
