You *could* but if stuck in WIndows for development (which I consider a handicap) you might do well to examine this: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/features/node-js/
There are *lots* of projects in nodejs and typescript you could tinker with to get back in the groove of writing code. But if you write a client in BASIC, I'm here for that too. :)
