Remember the April 2020 mega dip in bitcoin price? I did my best to buy as many Sats as I could that day, and while today is not nearly as dramatic, today is a day to do the same thing.
We have been given the gift of cheaper Sats for a period before the likely ETF approvals.

It is my understanding that KYC is only on the side of Apple, and only when PURCHASING sats. You can load the wallet from any other wallet without any KYC. You know... Just like you can do with Fountain for boosting podcasts, or streaming sats.
Adding the ability to zap from another app would likely give them the same issue that Damus ran into, which required nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s to remove zapping from Damus entirely. We'll see what Primal ends up doing with the Android app, where there is more freedom to do whatever they would prefer.

In the future, if the #primal #nostr client will suport zapping from other wallets, I will try it again. But for now I'm bailing out. Nostr is about freedom, but the Primal app restricts users to a KYC integrated wallet. Some users are fine with that, but not me. I understand you may feel pressured by various regulations to KYC the wallet in the app, but at least give users the option to use a different wallet.
