I’ve been attempting to orange pill my primary care physician for years. He is a gold bug and gets the hard money value proposition of bitcoin but has always said “It’s not for me because I don’t want to deal with the complexity.” Today he said he was interested in a bitcoin ETF “If they would ever come out with one.” I let him know they do exist in the USA now. I again offered to teach him how to self-custody the real thing, but he passed. So I gave him the Fidelity ticker, saying it is the second best option for now. He is excited and is looking into it. Maybe I can get him to a point where he holds the real thing someday in the future.
