i think i suggested we just hash the original message, leave it as a comment, and embed the hash, to get around the length check. anyways that’s what happened

oh haha, you were asleep. i think it was just me, sean, str4d, and eran, and we discovered there was a check that stopped our code from compiling with our intended genesis block message. was much easier to change the message than rm the check. so eran suggested “you killed my father, prepare to die”
