True. I mentioned not to get sucked into their weird etf’s, their “crypto” etc. stick w bitcoin at other exchanges where you can withdraw to self custody
One of the most gratifying things to me is being known as a “finance guy.”
Someone I haven’t talked to in over a year texted me this morning asking about online bank accounts.
This is a person I’ve had dinner with twice maybe and had some limited interaction with at church over the course of a year or so while he did a rotation clerking for a judge in my area.
So not only did I explain some of the features of SoFi, but also some of the risks inherent in traditional banking, BTFP, and sprinkled in owning 1% of a #bitcoin as a starting point.
