Well, I have explained my rationale as much as I am going to, you're free to accept it or not.
Have a good day, man.
I have explained it in my other answer.
To be clear, the yes was to your first question. I do find it interesting though that you cannot grasp the idea that someone could find value in two different approaches.
Dogecoin is a digital currency, it replenishes over time and thus is fungible.
Bitcoin is a store of value and was specifically designed to have scarcity. Lost coins are lost forever. The more rare you make something the more friction you add to its use.
There's a reason that many Bitcoiners prefer to stack sats and spend fiat - they believe that Bitcoin is too valuable to spend, making it *possible* to spend as a currency, sure, but if given the choice, many choose not to.
Yes. Just because was/I am turned off by the haughty arrogance and holier-than-thou attitude of some people in the Bitcoin space and prefer the lighter and more friendly Dogecoin community does not mean that I cannot fathom the value of Bitcoin.
Like I said, where we disagree is the idea that Bitcoin is the only possible way forward.
FWIW, I primarily hold Bitcoin and Dogecoin, not that it's any of your business and neither of us have any obligation to justify our decisions.
I use Dogecoin when I want to buy something peer to peer or internationally and Bitcoin for sitting on. The other stuff is just fragments of ETH and LTC that I'll likely swap out at the next bullrun.
And Dogecoin is not a token.
Respectfully, if you believe in decentralization but only if all of your money is in Bitcoin then you might not be as tied to the concept as you might think.
Different coins for different use cases.
I never said I was a Dogecoin maxi, only that it's my favorite coin and community.
Oh, I understand Bitcoin I just don't agree that it is the only path forward. And, speaking honestly, it was actually my experiences with the Bitcoin community in 2012/2013 that pushed me away from Bitcoin and into Dogecoin.
That said, we don't have to agree on every point in order for us to agree that whatever's happening out there, freeing yourself from fiat markets as much as possible is probably for the best.
Understanding Bitcoin is super easy:
No one touches your money except you.
You are free to give your money to whomever you deem worthy.
Please note: Most major Governments hate both of these ideas - especially of opt-in funding for their activities and losing control of citizen wealth - and as such will likely be very cross with you, especially if these ideas become popular.
Play safe, my friends.
Be it bureaucrat, aristocrat or soldier, nothing puts a stop to war like sending those who want war directly to the front lines.
....what are your Bitcoin regrets?

Even if you had bought Bitcoin back in 2010/2011/2012 you'd still have to have made it all the way to today. It seems like most of people I know who have larger amounts of BTC were those who bought or mined a bunch and completely forgot about it until it exploded.
Between the Mt. Goxes and all of the various hacks (exchange or otherwise) and the splits and other craziness, it seems like the more involved you were with crypto the more likely you lost (or spent) your coins along the way.
Whenever I hear "We're a family here" at a company I take that as code for "We will expect extra free work from you without thanks while talking shit about you behind your back."
You know, like a real family.
Diffusion of responsibility. Because they were dumb enough to not bother doing their due diligence they have to make it seem like no one else did either.
True, no one can print more Bitcoin... which is why they're making ETFs to make sure that they won't need to.
I really like this idea of being able to cast a wide net and connect with people across multiple social networks and the Nostr/Fediverse bridge seems like a neat step in that direction!
By the way, I have a friend on Minds that I'm trying to connect with across the Fediverse but the bridge doesn't seem able to reach them - I'm using moonlit45_at_minds.com@mostr.pub - is that the correct syntax? Is there anything else that I'm missing?
Just found you using your Nostr bridge!
Very, very cool idea and thank you for making it!
#Dogecoin history lesson:
Did you know that Jackson was inspired by an episode of Homestar Runner to pronounce "Doge" as "Dohj"?
Here's the episode that helped to inspire a phenomenon:

Never underestimate the power of a single act of kindness.
Maybe it won't start the chain that turns the tide.
But maybe it will.
Can't hurt to try.
Much love to you and everyone. I hope this finds you well.
