Something that would be great from a #UX perspective for #Nostr clients is a #Relay browser that people could easily connect to. And also include what NIPs are supported by the relay. This way the user can make an informed decision as to what features the networks include.
I'm still learning about Nostr. But I think that would be a great way to educate people about what a relay is and how they can pick. It also brings more transparency.
I got surprised when I found out about some basic features that was missing (that I realised only after I had started posting). But then I learned that it's also a lot about what the relays choose to support.

How to Embrace the STR:
Most of the time, devs are aware of bugs and issues. If they're not, submit an issue on the project's GitHub or tag them on Nostr.
It helps to provide as much information as possible. That said, I've been guilty of just taking a screenshot and tagging nostr:nprofile1qqsyvrp9u6p0mfur9dfdru3d853tx9mdjuhkphxuxgfwmryja7zsvhqpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcscpyug π₯Ή Sorry!
If the devs aren't fixing your issues, it could be because of several reasons. They could not want to fix it simply because other issues exist and they're working on those instead. And sometimes it's because a new shiny object has their attention and priorities have shifted. If this happens, you could try asking them how much it's going to cost to motivate them to fix it and Zap them to get it resolved. Devs like money too.
What if your favorite app doesn't have the feature that you'd like to see? Well, following the same path as the above for issues, you can ask developers, talk to them on Nostr and submit feature requests on GitHub. You can also put up a bounty for it too. Again, devs like to be paid for their work. I remember paying a bounty sometime last year to get a feature added to Amethyst. It worked well.
Now, not every feature will get added to every app. From a user standpoint, this may seem like it sucks, but remember that Nostr is open and anyone can build whatever they'd like to see. That means we'll have many different apps and use cases and not all of them will be the same. That would be boring. The most popular and most useful ones will probably be replicated across all major clients. And if it not, well, there's always the opportunity for you to build it yourself or again submit a bounty to get someone to build it for you.
If all of this sounds very disorganized and hard to navigate, then you're absolutely right! Nostr is decentralized, meaning no one is in charge - but it does work! Somehow, with everyone essentially doing their own things, all of this works and is interoperable.
You see, Nostr has no development team or design time, but we do have various freelance developers and designers working for themselves or very small teams, where most of them are hacking away on Nostr in their spare time. While some do work on Nostr full time, it's still a lot of work for one person to do non stop, without getting burnt out.
Nostr is very far along and improving all of the time across many clients, considering how early we are in the whole process and Nostr's inevitable future. Embrace the STR. No one said it was going to be smooth and easy.
Well said! ππ
I can definitely feel things getting updated regularly.
I'm really starting to βget itβ with Nostr. If the UX can get simplified and the clients mature, I can definitely see an accelerated adoption rate.
Note to self...
Get off the screen, step outside for some fresh air and enjoy nature! Have a good face-to-face interaction with someone.
It's so easy to loose yourself in the digital world. Let's not forget the beautiful world we live in!

Since Npub.pro launched last week, more than 150 people created nostr-based websites!
Here are some awesome examples that stood out the most to me:

Amazing creators indeed are on Nostr! A beautiful website theme can really help your content stand out!
The announcement and a short video guide below:
What would be the main benefits of building an entire website on Nostr? New here and I'm trying to dig deeper into the protocol.
I don't currently (haven't really been paying too much attention to crypto for a couple of years, until recently again). But something definitely worth exploring. Not sure how the market looks like when it comes to the amount of people willing to pay in Bitcoin though.
Besides getting paid in Bitcoin, also exploring what else can be done with crypto. What opportunities or problems can be solved with smart contracts or NFT (not talking about selling jpgs, but more the technical solution to digital ownership) for example.
I love what's happening with Nostr and Zaps. Definitely a potential "killer app" that might bring it more to the mainstream.
Something I really want to dive deeper into.
Awesome! Just signed up for the waiting list. Hope to get an invite soon π
I still think the Nintendo64 is the best looking console. Great memories. I wish Nintendo would have kept βUltraβ instead of β64β though. Whatβs your favourite console design?
There was something special about popping in those cartridges. Turn on the console and just go, virtually no loading times. Imagine having it released today with updated internal hardware and capabilities.

I figured it out! Thanks! π
I want to specially thank nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm for the invite to use alby and I'm already loving it
if you are not on alby you are missing a lot ππππ
I still don't know what I'm doing yet but I'll keep learning π€

I'm still trying to set everything up (I'm new to the whole Nostr ecosystem). Can I use Alby with e.g Muteny wallet?
Legends! The Designers Republic, still serves as inspiration for me. I still get blown away looking at the design work that went into the Wipeout games. Timeless!

I have the same feeling. Even though I love tech, I'm starting to appreciate analog stuff more and more. I write on paper now, I picked up some old canon vintage lenses for my DSLR Camera as examples.
I can appreciate all the AI advances and automation for tools when it comes to getting things done. But with all the advancements I can't help to feel it feels a bit hollow.
There's a beauty in taking your time for some things. There's value in tactile feel for things. Photography, art/design, even engineering.
Even consuming art and entertainment. I appreciate having everything available on streaming. BUT, I do really miss album cover art, the small booklets that came with CD's. And I still read all my books 99% physical.
Maybe this wasn't your point, but I can definitely relate.
An excellent book for Entrepreneurs and Leaders by the Apple/Nest legend Tony Fadell.

As I dig deeper into the Nostr protocol, I am intrigued. I have some ideas. Now I'm itching to go build stuff! #Nostr #Social #Dev #Entrepreneur #webdev #software
