What? I’m putting up a hypothesis, not claiming it must be true. Q never proves anything either but certainly does ask questions. I’m doing the same.

I’m largely sympathetic to the idea of the movement, to the extent I grok it. But one must carefully consider all possibilities when proof can not be furnished.

At the very least, ya need a big crowd. And his words are hard to argue with. It’s possible the whole point was to get a crowd assembled at a particular place at a particular time to implement a power grabbing plan. Or to force a stoppage of debate over Congress certifying a most unusual election.

I sure don’t disagree with that!

Perhaps it was a mental priming to increase the odds of people acting inappropriately Jan 6?

All it takes is a few weirdo’s to take it the wrong way and the whole lot looks guilty.

Oh, but you see, it does. Tires would be of higher quality if it had to compete against bitcoin instead of dollars. Nobody would buy such temporary crappy tires if it meant parting with bitcoin.

See, bitcoin fixes this.

I suppose. From what I could gather it was like horoscopes. Gave a lot of reinforcement of a narrative with no actionable info content.

I’m always wary of something that refuses to be provable. Doesn’t mean it must be false, not at all, just makes me think adversarially. And the best I have seen anyone come up with is that it was a psyop encouraging inaction.

Bow best to practice self custody before taking custody of sats.

Not your keys, not your coins is a harsh mistress. My advice, after you set up a wallet, write down the wallet identifier and then delete it. This forces you to test your backup immediately.

I’ve seen too many people have their first test be when they needed the backup.

Yes indeed! Truly historic. First time the masses have been clearly and carefully informed about the lack of substance behind the alt/💩coins. The lesson is subtle but deep.

You’ll enjoy it. Some people don’t like his view on modern art, but that aside it’s a good primer.

If you really want the deep dive, nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a has a surprisingly entertaining book literally about the mechanics of money throughout time.

Those that hodl during the dips and those that don’t. Kinda like a mini bear market crash effect.

Exactly. I’ll take it. I think of it as a multiplier on my income. If I put 1-2% away for a decade, this could very easily be retirement replacement in 20 years.

Having been around for a while, I assure you this will partition the community but most will stay and/or come back. And those that come back will regret their loss for years to come.

Could very well be. Cheapest way to attack bitcoin. Volatility is a powerful demotivator. Forces, as Saylor would say, restricts insight regarding Bitcoin to those who need to know.
