Essentially, he wanted to create scaling layers in Bitcoin (sidechains, ZK rollups) without changing Bitcoin.
So he came up with an off-chain virtual machine that can verify computations.

5 years ago, I launched the Bitcoin Takeover podcast 🤩
11 episodes, 11 guests, 1111 minutes of content (nice coincidence!)
I deployed all episodes at once like a Netflix series & decided to self-host the content since day 1.
My first 2 guests were Donald McIntyre & John Carvalho.
At the time, I thought it was just an independent side project to keep my mind busy after grandma’s passing. But soon, it turned into my biggest and most ambitious project!
