nostr:npub18yqwt4fespy6jn6a6qaahr2j5eqlyekrf49ucu58qgfe5sxgfpdsdd0jen Thank you! I may be getting too old for that danger myself. I have too much to live for!
nostr:npub1llqwud6kzzda2fvr4mfefs7utuea8ghcuxssaa0eecc7ghrxm39qh7luce Thanks Bryan! It was a fun but terrifying trip. Glad I did it though. Your overnight trip to the beach looked fun, and great photos as well!
nostr:npub1yxzu7a2hszws5m6kaaqe8l5dsdlhh3khuznfv84x55epeh30e43sgsfkyg Thank you! The scramble was fun and would definitely do more. I may not want to visit Knife’s Edge again anytime soon. 😬
nostr:npub1vadhc7mrzk73qvvmuxtntud99vxlv0dxqlz6ej4ga6h2tuvtl45sunmz4u Thank you Eric! It was a close one but I made it. 😂
nostr:npub19enl8y9u032z64sxea7qtf9qumegjfh49pzpw4xsytrv0h46gv7qpqk643 Ugh. I was only looking at the current map. Oh well. If I have to go somewhere and everywhere is smoky I guess I can still go there. Maybe I won’t be able to see the drop offs!

nostr:npub1nfl23e02pugcg2mltgjh4v3t3gps7ye3vc75epdw6klztnq5ms4qad7t3d I’m with you on walking facing traffic. Best strategy, even if a false sense of control.

nostr:npub1cqhmpg3rv38atgp9vy5j7kevdsepjwf3gr4c8576szzypn25sjeqv24rf7 It was questionable but I was desperate. I showed my wife the photo and she thought it looked fine so…
nostr:npub1cqhmpg3rv38atgp9vy5j7kevdsepjwf3gr4c8576szzypn25sjeqv24rf7 That was crazy! They are real heroes.
nostr:npub17d6wrgjp4gveajm0jyjjd72ar63lv9hhq9frqhumc0pt8chs2pxswfevz4 I highly recommend! I hear about people flying here to do the trail all the time. And currently no permits needed, other than self-issue at the trailhead. I need to get down there in the Sierras!
nostr:npub17d6wrgjp4gveajm0jyjjd72ar63lv9hhq9frqhumc0pt8chs2pxswfevz4 Wow! I was exhausted and started to feel nauseous putting up my tent after 20 miles but I hadn’t eaten and learned a lesson there. Thank you, it truly is an awesome hike and very challenging. It’s one I can easily do once a year. My favorite parts were both new sections to me. The Yocum ridge section was closed last year and had great views of the mountain. I also took the Paradise Park alternate and that was amazing with alpine meadows and the mountain towering above.
nostr:npub1lmg5feq9cq763996k4gfxerzev2dtkyf5h96e7n5axl4snlf2vts2wxe3r I chickened out but thought about it. Part of the problem is I don’t usually eat in the morning. Stopped for donuts instead.
nostr:npub1yf8gcfhtctnnn5z9ttzelrv6wv5nnhee3n8mgnfas0zfcaql5xcsnfffmg Exactly why we didn’t go with the window style. I’m way too lazy and not handy at all. We have the AC in the kids room and a series of fans to blow the cool air in our bedroom. :blobsweats:
