Turmoil is all around us, not only in the world at large but in our personal worlds. Yet there is quiet in the midst of strife because the quiet is in the right mind, patiently awaiting our decision to choose it.
Choose love instead of fear.
The hatred at the core of the ego’s thought system has no power over love, which does not even see it, let alone recognize its existence.
The problem is never the evil perceived in the world or even in the mind, but only the mistaken choice to perceive it. Since it is the mind’s power that chose wrongly, it is the same power that can save us.
Whenever we react unfavorably, unkindly, or critically, we are witnessing to the projection of our attack upon ourselves.
We are all prisoners here, except we are also the jailers for we hold the key to our liberation. To ensure that we never take this key from the mind and open the door to freedom, the ego causes us to forget where it is.
The power of decision is your one remaining freedom as a prisoner of this world.
What we see is determined by the teacher our minds have chosen.
Know that the mind is indeed the source of the world and our experiences within it.
As you look in, you choose the guide for seeing. And then you look out and behold its witnesses.
We have only two choices (and only one of them is real): the ego or God; projecting self-hate and fear, or extending love and forgiveness.
This world was made as an attack on God, the outcome of a tiny, mad idea in which we thought we could be better off without God, separate from our Source.
Whenever you accuse someone of doing something, ask yourself, would i accuse myself of doing this?
When you open your eyes, class is in session. Your curriculum is your special love & special hate relationships. Ask to see them differently.
There is no hope in this world. There is only hope in changing your mind about this world and the true source of your guilt, sin, and fear.
The total undoing of the mind’s guilt ushers in the real world, for we will have relinquished all investment in the illusion, leaving only truth’s reflection to lead us gently to the everlasting peace of God.
It would be futile to strive to understand problems outside the mind in the world, and seek for their correction there as well.
There is no way out of this hopeless situation except through recognizing that the world exists only in the mind, which means that it is only there that it can be controlled.
The purpose of the world is to confuse us as to the source of both problems and solutions.
Before you can see the world as it really is, you must get rid of the hatred that is in your mind and not outside of it.
