You project guilt to get rid of it, but you are actually merely concealing it. You do experience guilt, but have no idea why.

The ego cleverly distracts us so that our attention is focused on finding sin and guilt all around us, but never within—a brilliantly conceived plan that keeps us mindless and forever incapable of choosing differently.

Guilt stands in the way of your remembering God, Whose pull is so strong that you cannot resist it.

The ultimate purpose of projection is always to get rid of guilt. We project our guilt onto others when we blame others for our own shortcomings, but we also project on a much grander fashion: we project this world to hide from the wrath and judgment of God we secretly believe we deserve.

The purpose of the world and body is to conceal guilt. Until we actually look with open eyes at the role a guilt-ridden world plays in the ego’s strategy, we will not realize guilt’s unreality and recognize as illusory the world that arose from it.

In order to remember Who we are as God’s changeless creation, an extension of His Will, we have to change our minds about our identity, shifting from the ego’s shabby substitute for our Self to Its glorious reality.

True hope, based on the certainty of God, is that despite our wanderings in the far country of illusion — believing in the ego’s mad dreams of hate, guilt, and fear, and w world that mimics our insanity — our connection with God through His Memory (the Holy Spirit) remains unbroken and unchanged in our deluded minds.

The Communication Link that God Himself placed within you, joining your mind with His, cannot be broken.

God has not changed His Mind about you. He never will, for God does not change. He is invariable as the peace in which you dwell. You will find the everlasting peace He has established for you.

Creation cannot be interrupted. The separation we seem to experience in this illusory world is merely a faulty formulation of reality, with no effect at all.
