Former US President Donald Trump, already facing federal criminal charges for acts allegedly committed before, during and after his presidency, has now been indicted on state-level election interference charges. Details in my VOA radio report.
"Do I intend to try the 19 defendants in this indictment together? Yes," says Willis responding to reporters.

Trump and other criminal racketerering defendants are to surrender by noon Friday, says Fulton County District Attorney Fanni Willis.
Some of the alleged crimes in the indictment occurred outside #Georgia but are part of the effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia, explains Willis.
