I've never understood this. The West is not a democracy but Republics, only a minority of those eligible to vote do, and how can they distinguish those who voted for the oppressors in power and those that didn't.

As a layperson i cannot recall even one incident in the first three generations when they decided to start slaughtering civilians even in retaliation.
But that kind of thinking is prevalent today because of Western influence, such as during WWII every #British citizen was an enemy of every #German citizen. And the kind of 'they did it to us so we'll do it to them' mentality displayed here:

I've been thinking about this lately. So we have a very weak tradition that #Muslims will not be ruled by non-Muslims for more than 100 years, supported by the experience of the #Crusades and #Salahudin but not lately when 100 years has passed since the #Ottoman #Caliphate.
However, we have a strong tradition that every 100 years 'a reformer' ( #shaikhulIslam ) will appear to bring us back to our religion. And also that we will lose the #Caliphate (we have) and then regain it and it is during a Caliphate that the #Mahdi ( a person that will support #Jesus son of #Mary's return to kill the anti-Christ #adDajjal ) will appear.
What has this got to do with #Yemen ?
Islamic prophesises surprising mention place names like an army will come out of #Aden in Yemen; the #antiChrist will appear first in #Isfahan #Iran; Jesus son of Mary will appear between the white minarets of #Damascus ...
We also know that #Muslims and #Christians will fight alongside each other against a common enemy. For years i thought that would be #China. But with the #dollar losing its world reserve currency status gradually, the US has acted violently against anyone who attempted such and so i'm now thinking it will be the World against the US (with the UK obviously supporting the #childrenOfDarkness and the USA).
