Today I learned how silly easy it is to change a lock. Unscrew one screw, take out the lock, measure dimensions, get a matching lock in dimensions, screw in the new lock.
For some reason I assumed it’s more involved.
Wonder how many more things I assume are difficult when not.

The worst type of people on this app are the ones who refuse to use “mean” words to pretend they’re nice guys
They get away with murder and y'all cheer them on

GitHub's "Secret Scanning Partner Program" seems dope, is there some catch? Why don't more companies use this?
Auto-invalidating committed secrets sounds awesome and we're probably adding this to UploadThing

Maybe web3? Maybe a knowledge graph?

Wouldn't it be cool if you could compile your JS to WebAssembly? Well turns out you can due to the hard work by @CanadaHonk! Porffor is dope and I have a lot to say about it in a NEW VID I JUST POSTED

I pay for my iPhone so I can use it (mostly) as I’d like and I pay for @KagiHQ to be my default search engine (it’s a better Google with no ads that works for me.)
And yet I cannot make Kagi my search engine on the iPhone I paid for.
I should be able to: so should anyone else.

People keep telling me the deadlines are an inevitable fact of life. That’s true for a small percentage of them. (The others are just bullies throwing their weight around for the sake of power.) Fixed time and scope is a death march. We’ve known that for decades. So if a deadline is a real one, and time is fixed, scope must vary. Solve the obvious problem by building the most important stuff first.

I used social media for about 30 minutes this past weekend.
No doom scrolling.
Zero clue of what was going on anywhere else in the world.
It was amazing.
Highly recommended.

I am in the midst of writing the second edition of Clean Code. It's a complete rewrite, and it's coming out very different from the first.
Oh, the message is the same. But the presentation is entirely different.
