Is it at all possible to do Dynamic imports in Next.js of a server component?

I have several hundred MDX files I need to import based on their slug - I can't use folder routing for slugs.

I can use generateStaticParams to generate a list of URLs, but the dynamic imports wont work

Any approaches here?

Is there a word for trotting out out “true Scotsman” as a defense when someone deviates from the actual definition of a term? For example, when I say that an MVP is the thing that adheres to Ries’s actual definition, what’s it called when somebody trots out “true Scotsman” as an excuse for justifying the non-MVP thing they’re building?

To me, creating an API before there are client apps that use the API is putting the cart before the horse. It’s a way to build unnecessary complexity by writing code that handles eventualities that never come up. Start with the client apps, then build exactly enough API for those apps to work. Expand the API incrementally if needed by new apps. That way of working dramatically reduces the odds of an API change.

It’s a widely held, but completely incorrect, belief that you must mimic a competitor in order to compete. Think about Stripe. They went up against PayPal with a very small API and little else. Start small with a core product that’s useful and addresses a market problem. In PayPal’s case, that problem was the overcomplexity of their APIs and the pain of programming to them—a side effect of being a big established competitor with many (too many, I’d argue) features. Stripe came along with a tiny product that did only a fraction of what PayPal did, but it addressed that single, critical, pain point.
