How is this website so fast?

I take a look behind McMaster-Carr and detail all the techniques they are using to make it fast.

They are doing it all — prefetching HTML, inlined CSS, fixed images, pushstate — and all on a stack with 15 year old tech.

True tech debt is about learning. We do the best job we can, knowing what we know. (Deliberate sloppy programming isn't tech debt; it's insanity.) We then learn that we could have done it better. So, we rewrite the code so that it looks the way it would have looked if we knew then what we know now.

I feel like much of the accessibility industry either focuses on shaming developers, or the legal aspects for a business.

Marcy is a real one. Very approachable, real world, and is out there helping everyone understand how to make the web accessible.

Don't miss this one

How is it allowed that:

- Audible has 65% market share in the US for audibooks

- It offers 20% royalty share to authors if audibooks are sold non-exclusive (so, outside Audible as well). So for a $10 audiobook: Amazon takes $8, publisher gets $2!

80% take rate!!

import.meta.glob makes it incredibly easy to fetch modules inside Vite or Vitest.

Can grab content files, test fixtures... So many use cases for this!

By default, `console.table()` lists all elements in each row. You can use the optional "columns" parameter to select a subset of columns to display
