I suppose I am happy…no matter the situation, no matter how dismal, hopeless, bleak the truth maybe…living a lie will always always always be a lower form of existence. This is the foundation for the Greek truism “certainty brings insanity”… and also “know thy self”. Both are fed by that idea that the totality of our lives and the influence upon them are absolutely out of reach; to claim otherwise is…insane.
Both the content you describe and their cycles…I see them too.
I’ve absolutely let the past 5 years and those things consume me.
I’d be in a worse place had I not noticed…and realize what it shows in me.

Even more, I love weaving them together:
You find yourself either knowing you’re walking the road to a higher plateau of existence and have to come to grips with the inherent loneliness OR knowing you’re on the road of loneliness and have to come to grips with the inherent path to a higher plateau of existence.
