With a Bitcoin ETF now inevitable and the halving right around the corner, I see a lot of demand coming for Bitcoin over the next couple of months. Prime time for stacking is now! Don’t pay attention to the price, pay attention to the information.

Apple is not an attractive investment to me at a 2.79 trillion market cap. Apple has been the most successful company of the 21st Century. I don’t see a lot of upside from here. I think the stock will continue to pace with inflation, but lacks room for growth.

Would this be a ridiculous thing to say?

Maybe a key reason gold hasn’t taken off like some have predicted is because it has a legitimate competitor in Bitcoin as the go to store of value/safe haven asset. People are now presented with a choice, where as in the past gold was the clear front-runner for this type of investment. Bitcoin has weakened demand for gold.

Let me know!

I’m curious, how many people under the age of 30 feel a strong connection to either the democratic or republican parties? To me, it doesn’t feel like the next generation resonates with traditional political parties.

I’d imagine in a time of war, having Bitcoin would be very valuable. Especially if you are in a war zone and you’re forced to leave. You can take the Bitcoin with you, while you may be forced to part with other valuables such as livestock or your home.

One strike may be a reflection of the employer. Seeing a collection of strikes across different industries is a reflection of the system.

Which form of energy will have the strongest impact on our civilization for the remainder of this century?

We concentrate too much on government data. Data will be manipulated by the government if it suits their interests. We should find a better way to track economic performance, one without bias.

Existing bond holders like the banks are feeling the pain. If the banks start busting, there are 2 outcomes. Print money and save the banks or let the infrastructure collapse. When considering the next rate hike the Fed should consider the opportunity cost of this situation.

The Fed is attempting to slow inflation by raising interest rates. The strategy here is to kill demand aka slow the economy. While this may be deflationary in the short term, it actually makes inflation much worse and is a “kick the can down the road” strategy.

Attempting to weaken the economy is never a productive strategy. What is causing the inflation we have experienced for many decades now is growth in the money supply. In order for government to kill inflation they must kill the increasing money supply not demand.

The correct way to fight inflation is to stop going into perpetual deficits (spending more than you make). The growth in debt is what has caused inflation. The more debt that a government has, the more money needs to be injected into the economy to service the debt.

By raising interest rates in a high debt environment, the government is creating more expensive debt they will need to pay off in the future and they are also killing their revenue. If there is less economic growth, then there are less tax receipts. This means the government is making less and spending more, aka wider deficits.

Don’t kill economic demand, kill the increasing supply of money.

If you want to understand why the economy’s so messed up, there’s really only one chart you need to look at.

Interesting week for gold. A pretty sharp drop in price to end the week. Could this be a precursor for a rough week ahead in the stock market. Where will gold bottom and what’s gold’s price by end of year?

Is there a cold storage wallet for Bitcoin that is not reliant upon additional software or software updates? One you could connect to the internet and send from the device possibly. Let me know.
