I honestly think if you have someone who can make you bread boards and is highly skilled etc with someone who can code in any language, you can easily find some contract work.
Example: my friend from the marine corp did the same thing with an electrical engineer and was building drone programs for prison security as contract work
I’ve got a meeting with a buddy who is an electrical engineer Wednesday, so maybe we take some freelance work together
I have one more idea, which is doing a masters in a language after my JD to form a niche practice but that’s like at least a 5 year plan. I actually saw postings for lawyers with technology backgrounds who speak fluent Chinese. Crazy specificity

There should be better reporting systems for Children stuck in a home with an abusive parent, or if they are exposed to extreme violence and heinous crimes
You know how I got two of the jobs I currently am working? Basically by doing the same thing, but I literally went door to door to every single business in town, and called every shop owner I could find, until I was offered the job on the spot. Legit pounded the pavement. A stretch of businesses 10 miles long.
For my second job, I literally just started showing up at court: review hearings, arraignments, trial, and reaching out to the district attorney, the judges, and eventually the public defender offered me the internship on the spot.
If you are working towards something, do not be afraid to get out there and do what you need; make it f****** happen.
