Christianity teaches that the eternally existent Son of God became a human being and entered into history at a specific moment in time.
The second person of the trinity became flesh. He had a mother.
He was born in a small town which you can drive past.
He was baptized in a river that you can go and swim in.
He walked on top of a lake that people drives their post across every day.
He was arrested in a garden that you can walk through.
He was crucified outside the walls of a city that you can go and visit.
One time God made a king act like a cow for several years. A literal cow.
God can and will humble the “leaders” of this world.
the gospel is not you heard about jesus and you “nodded your head” in agreement.
the gospel is powerful. its potent. it rescues.
the gospel means you are “put in christ” found in Him. put on christ. walking in christ. you are inside HIM.
it pulls you out of darkness. the gospel pulls you from the floor of the ocean and breathes spiritual life into your spiritual lungs. (has this happened to me? you might ask yourself!)
Saturday: church work day: a dozen projects got done.
