I miss 18 months ago - everyone was zapping. I feel like we’re slowly getting back there with AlbyHub doing a lot to get around the frictions.
I think it’s just maximizing all V4V - here, fountain, wavlake, zap stream - and put out content worthy of it.
Nostr is so great because it doesn’t matter what client you want to use
Now let’s pile millions into Primal so that users can be in an algorithm again.
The extrapolation from a person to a people is one of the most low-signal things I see Bitcoiners do on the reg.
The success of the decentralized world will rely on the structures that exist for people to compare notes. The more disparate the knowledge levels coming together, the more power the decentralized communities will acquire and wield.
Nostr is a good place to establish such structures but it may be that podcasts are what select for the people who come together.
I do a math podcast designed to motivate people to learn math but it’s the people who listen to it and discuss what they are seeing, starting with my partner, but really extending to everyone sharing their experience, that gives that community power.
I do something similar for the band Phish. What I’ve noticed is that the more horizontal the subject matter connects with Bitcoin, the stronger base you can build and the more people can go down into the Rabbit hole with you.
I couldn’t be happier to see a person back on a podcast. Loved it and hope to see more of you.

I'll continue to listen to each episode individually as they come out. When the podcast hits five episodes I'll plan to listen through again and take notes so that I can better understand the concepts discussed.
Similar to my approach to reading a textbook. Fast and rough the first time through. Second time through is slower and precise.

Don’t wanna stop supporting Damus - it’s great - but Nostur for mobile and noStrudel on desktop is starting to give me great Nostr functionality

Cryptography is a deep and rich field with a regal and sordid history. Many people misunderstand the significance of the ability to keep a secret with a computer.
Bitcoin uses cryptography, yes, but it also simulates the essence of cryptography physically to create a valuable commodity,
All cryptographic systems will eventually be broken - yes. However - hashing to compete for the tiny new bitcoin the protocol has to offer is the true trapdoor / one-way process that cannot be broken.
As long as Bitcoin is something the world wants to spend its scarce resources competing for, its one-way-ness will be absolute.
SHA256 is robust but it’s pretty easy to upgrade the algorithm to 512 (compared to capitulating and giving up Bitcoin or dealing with other defense maneuvers). and that will work for a generation. If there’s one thing most people need to learn in life, it’s how this would work.
