Drink Coca Cola or alcohol above 40% to not have stomach problems.

When you travel to a new country, you don't know how your body reacts to the food there. So better to prepare.

Backpacker tip for South America:

If you bring vitamins, mosquito reppelent, soap etc, pack only one, or maximum two.

You will be able to buy almost everything. So saving space is king.

Pro tip: If you do hikes, or go to small cities, rather prepare ahead and buy what you need when you are in bigger cities.

Travel tip:

Have a water purifier with you if you travel in South America.

Tap water is not drinkable there in many places. So drinking water is kind of scarce.

We chose the Grayl water filter, because it also filters the water, so can remove bad taste.

Also you never know when you will need to make drinkable water for yourself.

Travel tip:

Bring leukoplast tape with you, next to pflasters, for your tips.

When you hike, and sweat a lot, pflasters won't attach to your skin. And if your boots are breaking up your feet, the last thing you want is the pflaster coming off of your wound in the first second. In such a case, you can just use the leukoplast tape to fix them to your feet.

Travel tip:

Use zipbags in your backpack when you hike.

You can keep your electronics, dry clothes, towels, tissues and pflasters dry.

You can put away your wet stuff without making your backpack wet.

You can put away your laundry without making your washed clothes stinky.
