As this school year is wrapping up I am already excited to get back in the fall. My new Bitcoin course will keep me busy all summer as I prepare to teach the properties, principles and power of the Bitcoin network to high schools students in our school division. Happy to have connected with local bitcoiners like @Jaime and international players like @skwp. Have a meeting with the Canadian Blockchain Consortium as well coming up. So many people wanting to help with Bitcoin education!
What is that feeling when the price of BTC jumps >%5 in a day...? Urgency, like it's going to be so expensive if I don't buy anymore within the next 3 min; Excitement, like the whole world has finally clued in to what Bitcoin is and we can finally escape this FIAT nightmare; or justification that you were right all along and we knew Bitcoin was going to win outright? I think a little of each.
Hello Nostr world! The times sure are changing, in more ways than one. Change is good, especially in the world of education. I am a secondary teacher and have just been given the green light to offer a Financial Literacy & Bitcoin Economics course for the fall semester! Thankfully we have some progressive thinkers in our division that were willing to support this initiative. My own Bitcoin journey is only just over a year in and there is so much I want to do with this course it's consumed most of my free time planning. I am planning to use The Bitcoin Standard (@saifedean), Inventing Bitcoin (@skwp) as classroom resources. I have also found a cool blockchain simulator (bitcoinsimulator.tk) which we can use as an experiential learning of mining. Anyone suggest any other resources for grade 11-12 class?
