Very much appreciating the new #OpenVibe cross posting feature. Makes my networks feel a lot less siloed - apart from Threads, where Meta won't let us see the stream outside of the official app.

Another significant concern over #AI is dependence. As we use AI more, we lose the skill to do those tasks ourselves. We become growingly dependent on the big companies to do it for us.

We have a small garden but a month ago I was able to persuade the wife that it's big enough for an apple tree.
So I bought two.
She sighed at my silliness but let it pass.
Today a fourth was delivered.
Folks, I think I have a problem. 🤣
She arms herself with fools and ne'er-do-wells while the enemy pounds their gate, ravenous as sea water.
We will not be swept away, she screams and her menfolk cheer. The #obstreperous hope she gives will outlast the tide.
