After a second thought this was rather a stupid idea.

It doesn't make sense. Apple seems to be overlooking the fact that Damus is not a platform but rather a client operating on an open protocol. Following Apple's logic, they would also need to remove HTTP clients, such as FF or Opera, since they also enable transactions.
#Keynesianism is essentially a legalised form of counterfeiting money sold under the guise of the necessity to stabilise prices and provide cheap credit for the economy.
"(...) Particularly, systems based on proof-of-stake protocols and controlled by specific individuals or institutions lose in this competition from the very beginning. The need to trust the entities controlling the protocol, who can make changes to it, is not an advantage but rather a disqualifying flaw of these systems."

"As a communication protocol, classical chess has withstood the challenges of time because it fulfils its task better than other protocols, which is to enable an engaging, unpredictable, tactically and strategically complex gameplay based on deceptively simple rules."

Bitcoin is literally power that people choose to treat as information. #Softwar
Truth and Time on the Bitcoin Network. The English version of my latest article for #iMagazine 05/2023 is now live on Substack. I explore how Bitcoin ensures verifiable truth and an autonomous chronology, independent of external authorities.

"When it comes to the first encounter with Bitcoin, everyone has their own story. However, a certain motif often repeats itself."
Here is a piece on how it started for me. More to come.

Utility instead of ideology. Instead of proselytising, we need to built LN in all applications we can think of.
This is the way.

“The system is not only 'tamper evident,' meaning it makes fraud impossible to hide, but also 'tamper-proof'—thanks to PoW and miners—as it makes fraud impossible to carry out.”

DoS attack on Bitcoin is a hopeless enterprise. The attacker literally bleeds money to Bitcoin defence agents (a.k.a. miners). The more one attacks Bitcoin, the stronger Bitcoin gets.
'Orange-Pilling Secrets From An Ad Copywriter' is a fun read. The orange-pilling hack goes as follows: skip technical and economic magma, show obvious benefits and create FOMO. The nocoiner will then do the rest of the work on their own 😁.
"(...) What will push Mr. Normie Nocoiner to take the “leap of faith” into Bitcoin boils down to three things:
1. A clear vision of the deal that a bitcoin “investment” represents (not what Bitcoin “is” or even what it “does”).
2. A justified sense of urgency and FOMO.
3. A clear understanding of why the deal is so irresistibly good (and why holding zero bitcoin is a far bigger risk than getting off zero)."
