Terrible idea. We need more School Resource Officers (police) and better security at entry points. Not some fat dude close to retiring hiding in an office. (I.E. The coward at Parkland)
Defensible entry points are important. One or two officers can't patrol 15 different entryways. Look at the fruitcake that tried to shoot up the Federal Building in Dallas. Guy got smoked in the parking lot as he retreated.
